Mickey Calloway will lead the 2018 Mets to what is hoped to be a revival season devoid of crippling injuries and personal failures on the field. Pitching remains the strength of the team and with the loss of power bats Lucas Duda and Jay Bruce, the Mets will need to be more creative when it comes to run production.

More is expected from Ahmed Rosario and Michael Conforto and the Mets will be counting heavily on their ability to drive in and score runs.

The organization is buoyed by the performance of Kevin Kaczmarski,  OF, and Mickey Jannis, RHP in the Arizona Fall League. But, the team lacks depth in their minor league system.

Improvement, if it going to come quickly, will come from trades and free agent signings over the winter. But unless the Mets are willing to part with Jacob deGrom or Noah Syndergaard, the return of players with major league ready talent is virtually impossible.
